Entering the Challenge zone

The only thing we got inborn could be described as permanent ability to learn and improve. Unlike any other creatures, we don’t now anything when born – and unlike any other creatures, we have ability to learn everything.

Mastering new skills, completing tasks, facing the challenges, constant improvement, giving the new order to things – those are the milestones of fullfilled life…

… and then there is also so called “Comfort zone”, where none of them happens.

Even in fairy tales, heroes must fearlessly face the challenges in order to achieve something – very often beyond their initial capablities. These stories are good examples of positive approach to life and illustration of how achiever’s mindset brings results.

Why we tell these educational stories to our children on one hand and very often do not show the same approach in real life on the other hand? Why we buy in this “safe path” dimmed relfection of humanity, self-sentenced to vegetate in comfort zone?

Because we are afraid. We are afraid because we are not present. In presence, there is no fear, there is only now, our beings expressed by focused present action. Fear is never related to presence and is never related to real things or situations. That’s why fear is not important for real achievers and represents no real limitation…

… that’s also why other people choose to vegetate in comfort zone being safe from their fears. Those people are voluntary victims of misleading phantasm that prevents them from living their lives now. That’s why they are not happy.

I believe we can master the skill of creating the happiness and cultivate it like anything else. And like all the other skills – what we do not practice, fades out.

I invite you to utilize two essential tools – willpower and discipline. the more we use them, the easier we can enter what I call “Challenge zone”.

Challenge zone is where the permanent growth happens. Here our abilities are challenged, our limits revealed and proven to be not important. Challenge zone is where we shine. This is the real “now” and only here happiness is intrinsic.

Any kind of sport or movement is perfect demonstration of this principle, because movement can occur only NOW!

It brings synergy, that’s what I wanted to share.

Home is where I run

Home is where I run.

I am a traveller and I travel a lot. Constantly on the go, it’s important to understand the concept of being present. Where am I heading? What I want?

The answers build just the frame, just the Evening star to be there whenever I’d need to evaluate the relevance of my actions.

Knowing from where we are comming helps us understand our personalities. When we know who we are, where our limits begin, we can easily drop down those shells and evolve. What we call personality is not something we shall respect or stick to lifelong. That is one big and essential misunderstanding.
Oposit is true. We have to step out of the shadow, to put the burden of static and limiting personalities aside. Cutting away all that’s holding us back, we stay in pure action creating real future in every next presence.

When we speak about home, we reflect the bottom line of what we call personality. Traditional home represents the origins, the place we came from, the foundations of who we are – usually arguments to advocate the unchangeable personality.
I’m not gonna buy to this.

For me, home is not a place inside me. It is one of the roots of my “personality”, but similar to any tree – while roots stick static in the ground, leafs are moving in the air.
This movement is limited. A tree cannot walk, cannot disconnect from its roots.
We can! We know about our references and we know where to return when needed. We are able to abandon our roots on the way to unlimited growth. We are the evolution!

Since we are able to drop down inner cages, we live to live. We move in a state of permanent action. Then, home is where we run!

Dam dialogues

After yesterday’s rainy stormy day, this morning started with smiling sun in the almost clear sky. I took this photo during my easy shakeout around 8AM at Hostivar dam in Prague.

I like to run in this area. It always inspires me and is right next to my door.

This morning I just shoot the picture and forgot about it. After the big family lunch I stumbled over it somehow and recalled the emotion.

I remembered my feet easy touching the ground and relaxed breath in chilly morning air. Nature spoke to me and I listened…

… and I decided to run there again right away!

After the morning’s 12k I added another 10 afternoon and the dam spoke to me again ;)

Finally, on my way back I stopped at the supermarket to buy some beer.

What a nice day again!
